Bedford Township Board’s tradition of honoring local veterans with service pins continued at the Sept

Bedford Now - 9/29/2017

Bedford Township Board’s tradition of honoring local veterans with service pins continued at the Sept. 19 meeting when a World War II veteran and a Bedford resident, Edward Krauel, was introduced.

Krauel, 99, had served in the Navy and told some of those stories earlier in the day to Bedford Township Supervisor Paul Pirrone and other township officials.

Township clerk Trudy Hershberger presented the pin; and he was also given a framed picture from the township.

The ceremony attendees included an honor guard from the Lambertville Post 9656, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
