Modification to Bertus52x11's Left Handed dSLR Holder is designed for use by individuals who have use of their left arm only as a result of a fracture, amputation, or stroke. The original idea was to add a thumb hook to the tripod connecter underneath, allowing the camera to be held steady with just the left hand. CUSTOM ADAPTATION PURPOSE: To enable an individual who has had a stroke and lost use of one arm to operate the zoom lens of a camera while holding the camera in position to look through the viewfinder. The solution was to make a nylon gear with serrations that match those on the zoom lens, and two ball bearings to enable it to move freely. This is held in position against the zoom by a brass plate formed to clear the camera’s other functions and fixed to the tripod mount on the bottom of the ca
